In May 2003, HIMM went on its 2nd Medical Mission to Imo State, Nigeria. This year, HIMM performed
the free
medical mission in two different towns - Ihiagwa, Owerri and Umuoye, Owerri. Our goal was to touch the rural poor

Mission to Rescue Nigerian Pastors
HIMM is curently working in partnership with the "Rescue Nigerian Pastors" Ministry.
HIMM in conjuction with this ministry is involved in providing financial and medical assistance to pastors and their
families who are displaced from their churches and homes as a result of moslems attacking christians in northern
Nigeria. The ministry also provides assistance to pastoral schools that need medical assistance.
TB Project in Umuoye - Imerienwe - Imo State, Nigeria
HIMM responded to the people of Umuoye - Imerienwe, Imo State in 2001, concerning an outbreak of
Tuberculosis in the region.
Five villagers had already lost their lives due to the disease. HIMM responded to the people's request
for assistance by sending TB medication, donated by the American people, to the local HIMM medical officers. These
health professionals administered the medication to the people of Umuoye- - Imerienwe as per HIMM's instructions.
